On the eve of Kamal Haasan's birthday, it was on Sunday announced that his 234th movie will be helmed by Mani Ratnam. The collaboration between the superstar and the filmmaker happens for the first time in 35 years. And AR Rahman is going to compose the music.
The untitled film will be released in theatres in 2024.
Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies have come together for the project. The last two of these production houses are enjoying the success of 'Vikram' and 'Ponniyin Selvan: I', respectively, this year.
“I was equally excited 35 years before when I was about to start work with Mani Ratnam. It is going to be a stimulating experience," the 'Indian 2' actor said today.
