'Annapurna Photo Studio', starring Chaitanya Rao and Lavanya Sahukara, is a period film bankrolled by Yash Rangineni. A retro-themed duet titled 'Rangamma' from the movie was released today.

Actor Priyadarshi, who recently played a lead role in 'Balagam', released the song with best wishes to his long-time friend Chaitanya Rao. Director Chendu Muddu raised a toast to Prince Henry's composition, adding that he hopes the song will strike the right chord with party revellers in pubs with its 1980s feel.

Both singer SPB Charan and lyricist Srinivasa Mouli were in for praises. As far as the lyric writer is concerned, the song is close to his heart because Charan has rendered it.

The lead man said that 'Rangamma' has a piece of trendy fusion music although the film is set in the 1980s. "The lyrics and tuning are very catchy. We get a feeling that we are watching a Bappi Lahari song," he added.

Producer Yash Rangineni exuded confidence in the song's ability to impress the audience, thanks to its music and placement. "RD Burman's, Bappi Lahari's songs in the old days used to charm us. 'Rangamma' is an attempt to bring back those vibes. It is a first-of-its-kind experiment in Telugu in terms of melody, beats, and rhythm," he added.
