Small-time actor Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari of 'Pushpa' fame was on Wednesday taken into custody by the Panjagutta police. He has been booked under Section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly driving his "girlfriend" to suicide recently. As per the allegations made by the deceased girl's father, Jagadeesh was harassing her as her live-in partner. The girl was working as a junior artist.
As per the buzz in the industry, director Sukumar and team will wait for Jagadeesh to be out on bail so that some crucial scenes can be shot on him and others, including Allu Arjun.
'Pushpa 2' is scheduled to hit the cinemas on August 15 next year (2024).
After 'Pushpa: The Rise' was released in theatres in December 2021, Jagadeesh was reportedly flooded with offers. But he didn't take up most of them because he expected bigger roles to come his way after the release of 'Pushpa 2'. The shoot of 'Pushpa 2' got delayed by about a year.
