On Sunday, Natural Star Nani had to defend 'Jersey' and 'Shyam Singha Roy' when a scribe alleged that both films incurred losses for their distributors. The actor, speaking to the media at a 'Hi Nanna' event, said that both were profitable ventures.

As if to validate his public utterance, the producers of the two movies issued clarifications via Twitter just hours later.

Producer S Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments tweeted that 'Jersey', which was released in 2019, is one of the most memorable and profitable films made on his banner. "This film got us national recognition and unending respect. As a producer, it made me extremely happy both on creative and economic ends," Naga Vamsi, whose most recent hit is 'MAD', wrote.

Producer Venkat Boyanapalli, on his part, clarified that 'Shyam Singha Roy' illuminated his banner's path in the Telugu film industry, making the production house stand out as a beacon of pride. "It was, is and will always be one of the proudest films we have made! As the makers of the film, if we have a chance we will make films like these again and again," he added.
