'Devara' continues its unstoppable digital march, cementing its position as the longest-trending Telugu film of 2024 on Netflix. For the fourth consecutive week, the film has been trending worldwide on the streaming giant.
Currently ranked at No. 6 among non-English films on the streaming platform, the Jr NTR-Koratala Siva movie has amassed an impressive 2.8 million views and 8.1 million hours watched during the November 25th to December 1st period.
The film, starring Janhvi Kapoor as the heroine, has also secured a spot in the Top 10 in seven countries, showcasing its broad appeal and international recognition.
'Devara' has performed extremely well in India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, UAE, and Mauritius.
What is the film about? Back in the 1980s, Devara (Jr NTR), a courageous smuggler from a coastal village, sets sail on a daring mission to do the bidding of a kingpin named Muruga (Murali Sharma). When conscience strikes, Devara has a change of heart. This makes him an enemy of Bhaira (Saif Ali Khan), his long-time partner. The rest of the film is what happens to Devara and what his son, Vara (Jr NTR, again), is destined to pull off.
