Seethakka, currently serving as a cabinet minister for Panchayati Raj & Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women and Child Welfare in Government of Telangana, today hit out at 'Pushpa 2'. She said that the film has sent the wrong message to society.

She teared into the film, saying that Allu Arjun's Pushpa Raj literally humiliates policemen while being a red sanders smuggler. "On the other hand, 'Jai Bhim' raised relevant social issues. But that film didn't receive a National Award," Seethakka said.

The scene referred to by the Minister is from the second part, while Suriya's 'Jai Bhim' lost out to the first part, that too, to Allu Arjun and not the film per se. Moreover, the Minister has reacted a full two years after the National Awards were announced.

Seethakka is the second Telangana Minister to negatively critique the content of the Sukumar directorial. Recently, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the film has a corrupting influence on youths.

MLC Teenmar Mallanna, too, took a swipe at the content of 'Pushpa 2' recently.
