Pawan Kalyan discusses erosion of celebrity privacy

Speaking to the media on Monday, Pawan Kalyan touched upon the erosion of privacy in the lives of film celebrities. He made the remarks in the context of the Sandhya Theatre stampede issue.

"Many years ago, Chiranjeevi garu used to visit theatres alone by wrapping his face with a cover. I remember seeing him do that as a child. Nobody would recognize him. With cameras becoming ubiquitous, it is not possible to do so in this day and age. Actors like to watch movies in theatres with the general audience to know the pulse," Pawan Kalyan said.

Celebrities like Mahesh Babu also frequently go on foreign vacations to enjoy privacy. In India, they barely get a breathing space in public places. If they want to have fun with their family members, if they want to give their children the raw experience of tourist places, foreign countries are the only option for them. A lot is wrong with the Indian attitude of disallowing celebrities their privacy.
