Novelist says even 'Maharshi' was a total copy

It is known that the Supreme Court recently found Koratala Siva guilty of lifting the plot of 'Srimanthudu' from a novel named 'Chacchenta Prema', written by Sarath Chandra. The makers of the film have since denied the claim even though the apex court has suggested otherwise. The same novelist has now alleged that even the plot of 'Maharshi' was a total copy.

Speaking in an interview, Chandra alleged that 'Maharshi' was a scene-by-scene lift from a story he had written. He is waiting for the 'Srimanthudu' issue to settle down first before moving on to dealing with the makers of Mahesh Babu's 2019 movie.

Not many are willing to take Chandra's words at face value. But since he has been proven right in the case of 'Srimanthudu', he might not be dishonest here.

Will Vamshi Paidipally be in trouble? We have to wait and watch. 'Maharshi' had Pooja Hegde as the heroine.
