'Akhanda 2': Balakrishna, Allu Aravind change plans mutually?

It is said that Allu Aravind was determined to produce 'Akhanda 2' in the combination of the Nandamuri Balakrishna-Boyapati Sreenu duo. It would have been a thoroughgoing, prestigious project for Geetha Arts, which would have ensured a mighty pan-Indian release for it.

However, there seems to have been a change in the plans. It is said that the 'Veera Simha Reddy' actor and Aravind have mutually agreed to call off the plans for now.

On Monday, 14 Reels Plus announced a new film in the combination of the Balakrishna-Boyapati duo. As of now, there is no clarity on whether this is 'Akhanda 2' or not.

The actor-director duo won't be reuniting for another 4-5 years after this project. Effectively, Aravind's plans will be in suspension mode for half a decade.

Balakrishna was last seen in 'Bhagavanth Kesari', directed by Anil Ravipudi. His next film in theatres is an untitled film directed by Bobby Kolli.
