Director Virinchi Varma's 'Jithender Reddy', bankrolled by Muduganti Ravinder Reddy of Muduganti Creation, was screened to Union Minister Kishan Reddy earlier this week. After the special show, the BJP leader remembered the contributions made by late Jithender Reddy, whose biopic the movie is.
Kishan Reddy spoke of how Jithender worked towards social transformation through peaceful and electoral means. "He was a tall RSS and ABVP leader with whom I got to work in the BJP Yuva Morcha. I remember how he organized fifty buses when AB Vajpayee visited Warangal to address a political rally. He stood up for the underprivileged, and fought against the Naxal ideology because he believed that ballot was better than the bullet. Such a leader was assassinated by Naxals, who pumped seventeen bullets into his body," Kishan Reddy said.
The Union Minister appreciated actor Rakesh Varre for playing the titular role with conviction. He also appreciated Ravinder Reddy, Jithender's brother, for bringing to life the story of his brother.
The music is composed by Gopi Sunder. Vaishali Raj, Rhea Suman, 'Chatrapathi' Sekhar, Subbaraju and Ravi Prakash are playing different roles. Vanishree Podugu and Uma Ravinder are its Executive Producer and Co-Producer, respectively. The cinematography is by VS Gnanashekar.
