Vishwak Sen has just tasted the biggest flop in his career. 'Mechanic Rocky' reportedly fell flat at the box office during its first weekend. Released in theatres last Friday, it grossed more than Rs 2.20 Cr on Day 1. On Day 2 and Day 3, the crime comedy entertainer failed to pick pace. Vishwak Sen is now banking on his upcoming movies like 'Laila'.
On the other hand, Satya Dev's 'Zebra' started registering increased footfalls over the weekend after a relatively dull Day 1. Speaking at an event on Sunday, actor Satya Dev said, "Most of the film reviewers out there didn't like our movie. On the contrary, most of the audience members have liked it." The crime thriller, coming with comedy elements, also features Dhanunjaya, Sunil Varma, Satya, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Satyaraj. It is directed by Eashvar Karthic.
While 'Zebra' registered encouraging results and 'Mechanic Rocky' fell flat, 'Devaki Nandana Vasudeva' sank without a trace. With a near-zero share, exhibitors regretted their decision to screen it.
