Bellamkonda Suresh made Aadi with Jr NTR and Chennakesava Reddy with Nandamuri Balakrishna in the early 2000s. He later went on to make meaningful movies like Sambho Siva Sambho and Naa Autograph with Ravi Teja. Golimaar directed by Puri Jagannadh and Bodyguard starring Venkatesh were also expensive projects.
The producer has almost stopped making movies since 2015. This happened after he bankrolled his son's debut movie, Alludu Seenu, on a budget of Rs 38 Cr in 2014. Since then, it has been rumoured that Suresh has lost huge monies in trying to make his son a hero. Another theory is that he has been financing his son's movies since 2015 in the background.
In a recent interview, Suresh refuted the rumour. He said that Alludu Seenu actually made profits. "I earned more than Rs 38 Cr. I got my money back. I lost Rs 23 Cr on three dubbed movies I released. I stopped producing movies because I didn't want others to believe that my son should work only under my banner," Suresh stated.
