'KA' will head to theatres for Diwali. The Kiran Abbavaram thriller drama will grace the big screens on October 31.

Speaking at an event today, Kiran said that 'KA' will make for a highly engaging family watch. "This Diwali, it will be a treat for you all. The families will surely vibe with 'KA'. This is the best date for us. (Distributor) Vamsi Nandipati garu strongly feels that 'KA' has to be watched by the family audience during a festival season. The visuals will transport you to the 1970s. You will enjoy how the characters speak and behave like the people of that generation. The plan is to release the film in five languages on October 31. As for the Tamil version, discussions are still ongoing. If we find enough theatres, it will be a simultaneous release in Tamil as well," Kiran said.

The hero added that the second half is going to be a total surprise. "The climax action episode will be about 15 minutes long. It will be intense and dramatic. 'KA' is not a completely commercial film. It's both content plus commerce, delivering a sure-fire theatrical experience. The audience are getting smarter. They book tickets only if they are convinced that the pre-release material strike them as interesting. The Teaser of 'KA' is already a hit. The Trailer will also generate the right vibe," Kiran added.

The film is directed by the Sujith-Sandeep duo, who thanked Sam CS for his music. "He got involved when we narrated the story," they said.

Vamsi Nandipati said that Kiran is the one who got the release rights deal clinched for him amid stiff competition.

'KA' delves into the beliefs of ruralites living in a particular geographical spread in the '70s. Produced by Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, the film's cinematography is by Viswas Daniel and Sateesh Reddy Masam.

The film will be released with premieres on October 30.
