"His world is intriguing. His journey is a mystery," the makers of 'KA' said, putting out the film's Trailer today. Abhinaya Vasudev, the protagonist's name, could well hold a lot of meaning, considering that he is probably a Janus-faced and well-meaning character in this sci-fi action thriller drama.
The visual imagery is specific and not generic. The effect would have been muted in an ordinary rural backdrop. In 'KA', the setting is not mundane. It's a village blessed (or cursed?) with darkness when the sun is supposed to shine the brightest. The imposing mountains surrounding the village could be exploited by some or the other character.
Vasudev, played by Kiran Abbavaram, experiences the jolt of his life when a masked man visits him time and again. Does the man know something about Vasudev, who might well be a rebel from the past? The interval bang of the movie will be nail-biting, we suppose.
'KA' has landed a near-perfect Trailer for sure. This Diwali, when the film heads to theatres on October 31st, we will know how far directors Sujith and Sandeep have gone in telling an imaginative thriller tale. The film's music is by Sam CS. Nayan Sarika and Tanvi Rao aside, it also features a set of character artists. Onwards and upwards!
