Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller 'The Greatest of All Time' is slated to hit the cinemas on September 5. AGS Entertainment has produced the big-ticket movie.

Archana Kalpathi, the CEO of AGS Entertainment, has revealed the film's budget. "It is Rs 380 Cr, including GST," she informed in an interview.

The banner has previously produced 'Bigil' with Vijay in the lead. Its budget was Rs 180 Cr. The exponential jump in budget from 'Bigil' to 'The GOAT' is because Vijay charged Rs 80 Cr for 'Bigil' and Rs 200 Cr for 'The GOAT'. So, Vijay charged Rs 120 Cr more for doing 'The GOAT'!

Secondly, 'The GOAT' is a globe-trotting action thriller that opens in Africa and then moves to countries like Bangkok. The production costs sky-rocketed because of the ambitious scale involved.

AGS Entertainment believes in transparency. "We put out the numbers in public for everyone to see," Archana said. The AGS family owns four multiplexes in Chennai.

Vijay's 'The GOAT' is directed by Venkat Prabhu. It also features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, and Laila, among others.
