Kalyan Chakravarthy started out as an artist in the 1980s. However, he failed to secure recognition and stopped doing films for a very long time. Nearly four decades after his debut as a leading actor, the individual from the Nandamuri family is back.
Champion casts him as Raji Reddy. It's believed that Kalyan was convinced by C Aswini Dutt himself to do the film, which is being produced by Swapna Cinema of Mahanati and Jathi Ratnalu fame. Champion is headlined by Roshan Meka.
For the unversed, Kalyan is the son of Nandamuri Trivikrama Rao, younger brother of the legendary NT Rama Rao. Trivikrama Rao produced as many as 40 movies. Kalyan acted in about a dozen movies before retiring from acting.
