We have recently two big names introducing their next generation, one in the form of Ram Charan Teja and the other, Naga Chaitanya. The third one now in the row is Nara Rohith who has the privilege of canvassing by none other than the former Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu.
Nara Rohith is being introduced by Aswini Dutt’s daughter, Seshu Priyanka Chalasani in ‘Baanam’. Directed by another debutant Caitanya Dantuluri, the film is due for release on September 16th. CBN shared a few movements with the press supporting his nephew Rohith and the excerpts are:
How Rohith entered the films?
You are all aware that he is my brother’s son. He approached me after completing his professional training in USA in acting. He also has an engineering degree. When I was approached I advised him saying that the political background would only facilitate his entry into films and he should bank on his hardwork and dedication to succeed in the industry.
What influenced Aswini Dutt’s association?
Aswini Dutt needs no introduction. He was the one who introduced successful stars like Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and of course Ram Charan Teja. It’s Rohith’s luck!
What is your opinion on Baanam?
I happened to see the preview of ‘Baanam’ yesterday and it turned out to be very interesting movie. Rohith has really done a fantastic role. I am sure he will be a successful hero.
Can you elaborate some more about ‘Baanam’?
‘Baanam’ is a very positive film with a lot of importance to the hero’s deeds. Rohith as a hero does many good things and he fights against ill effects of the society and comes out successful in the end. And the audiences are sure to carry a positive message as they go out of the theaters. Further this movie is directed by a journalist’s son which also will add flavour to the project.
Is there any reason behind opting for a new director?
There is no specific reason behind it but one thing I can say is that we can expect out of the hat thinking new concepts from this aspiring director.
We all see the Baanam’s publicity not in the same lines as big banners. What is the strategy?
I don’t want to teach a professional his profession. So knowing well Aswini Dutt’s capabilities it is only apt for anyone to just stand away and observe the outcome.
You are known for supporting movies with messages only. How do you intend to guide Rohit?
Well, I do like the movies with messages. But if Rohith’s future depends on masala movies also I do not want to hinder such things. But I would certainly not encourage vulgarity as well as violence in the movies.
Is it a new found interest for you in films?
I’m not new to films. I’m married to the daughter of great personality in Telugu Cinema, NTR. My son married another actor Balakrishna’s daughter. This apart you all have seen the involvement of film personalities in the recently concluded elections. This being the case, how can it be a new thing for me?
