Himaja, Giddesh and Gantamrogina Ravi Teja starrer ‘Veta Kodavallu’ was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on 7th of January. Babji is directing and producing the film under Peoples Theatre banner. Prominent actress Jaya Sudha sounded the clap board for the muhurat shot, while senior Naresh switched on the camera. R Narayana Murthy directed the first scene.
Director and producer Babji held press meet and said, “Till now I’m a director and now I turned into producer and making the film ‘Veta Kodavallu’ as my first attempt. The film is being made with all commercial values along with good message. As parents, we always want to give good future to our children. Then what about orphans. Orphans, who were neglected, becomes ‘Veta Kodavallu’ to antisocial elements and makes the society into fragmentation. We are introducing 6 new artists through this film. The film’s shoot will take place in and around Hyderabad from 7th Jan to 13th Jan. And from Jan 22nd, shooting will take place in surrounding areas of Kurnool for one month. After wrapping up the shooting part without any break, we are planning to release the film by the end of April or May.”
Speaking at the press meet, senior Naresh said, “Title is very impressive. Director Babji, who carved his own image and heading forward regardless of success or failure, is directing and producing ‘Veta Kodavallu’. I acted in ‘Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu’ under his direction and that will be released soon. I wish that the film will become big success. I wish all the best to the team.”
Actress Himaja said, “’Veta Kodavallu’ is a sharp story like the title. First time I’m doing a mass character. The film carries a good message.”
Speaking on the occasion, music composer Gajwel Venu said, “The film has 5 songs. 4 songs recording is already completed. Each and every song is different. I’m thankful to Babji for giving me this opportunity.”
Giddesh, Gantamrogina Ravi Teja, Babu Ram, Govind, Hanmanth, Jayavahini, Bindu, Suman, Thanikella Bharani, Kadambari Kiran, Chanakya, Jabardasth Raghava and Phani and some others are playing important roles.
