Vangaveeti is my last film - RGV

Sensational director Ram Gopal Varma has decided to take retirement after ‘Vangaveeti’. “I have decided to make an end to my cine journey which was started with ‘Shiva’. Because I perfectly know that I cannot find a better story than ‘Vangaveeti’ to make another film in Telugu,” said Ram Gopal Varma.

We all know that Ranga became powerful leader who took the responsibility of after the brutal murder of Radha. We find courage, conflict, fearlessness and sacrifices in the life of Ranga. After the brutal murder of Andhra Robbin hood like Ranga, entire Andhra people grieved. Ram Gopal Varma is making a film based on his real life story which is set in the backdrop of real incidents.

He said, “Though I have born and brought up in Hyderabad, Vijayawada taught me the life. I gained knowledge and learned about relations, friendship, love and rowdyism there.”

“The difference between my earlier film ‘Raktha Charitra’ which was set in the backdrop of Ananthapur faction and this ‘Vangaveeti’ which is set in the backdrop of Vijayawada rowdyism is the difference between revenge and emotion,” he added.

He says, “30 years back, I closely watched the evolution of rowdyism in Vijayawada when I was studying in Siddhardha Engineering College. I confidently say that nobody else knows rowdyism in Vijayawada than me.”

“To reconstruct the atmosphere of Vijayawada which should look like 30 years ago when cell phones and guns were not there and rowdies uses knives, lances, ambassador cares and matador vans, producer of ‘Vangaveeti’ Dasari Kiran Kumar has not compromised in terms of budget. With our producer’s support our team is making brisk progress to make the film in such a way that it will stand out forever in the history,” informed Ram Gopal Varma.
