'Ghatikachalam' is a quintessential emotional horror movie: SKN

The Teaser of 'Ghatikachalam' was unveiled today at an event in Hyderabad. The core team of the psychological horror movie spoke of the film's highlights on the occasion.

Actress Arvika Gupta thanked the audience for their support, saying that she might not be fluent in Telugu, but she believed 'Ghatikachalam' would impress everyone.

ETV Prabhakar, who plays the protagonist's father in the film, shared that he was excited about his role, which he had been looking forward to. He said that the emotional bond between father and son had been beautifully portrayed. With SKN and Maruthi involved, it was clear that the film had excellent content.

Director Amar Kamepalli shared that the concept for 'Ghatikachalam' came from his friend Raju, who is currently in the US. Raju recounted some incidents that had occurred in a house belonging to someone they knew, which intrigued Amar. The film follows a 19-year-old medical student. Producer SKN, after his entry into the project, recommended crucial modifications. Amar made the adjustments they suggested, and now the film is in post-production. He expressed his indebtedness to SKN and Maruthi for supporting their movie.

Writer Darling Swamy touched upon how the Maruthi-SKN duo came on board for the project. Actor Nikhil spoke of his journey, saying that he has acted in about 70 movies so far as a child artist. His character is central to the story of 'Ghatikachalam', whose Teaser shows visuals of him being horrified by the lack of control on himself.

Distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni said that 'Ghatikachalam' is unique in the sense that it is unpredictable. Saying that the movie transcends one's expectations and anticipation, he thanked the SKN-Maruthi duo for supporting it.

Producer SKN spoke of the importance of small films doing well so that the exhibition sector grows stronger. Maruthi, Dheeraj Mogilineni and himself are committed to supporting small films. He praised director Amar for creating output as though he is a seasoned director. Saying that he adores horror movies, SKN added that the genre is amenable to all emotions.
