Pawan Kalyan urged to consider flexible Ticket Pricing

Former president of the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber and MD of Purna Pictures, Granthi Vishwanath, urged Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to address issues in the Telugu film industry, particularly concerning OTT platforms and cinema ticket prices.

In a meeting on Tuesday night, Vishwanath presented a souvenir to Power Star. He expressed that high ticket prices, in addition to the competition from OTT platforms, are distancing poorer audiences from cinema. He suggested implementing a flexible pricing strategy, similar to those in other states like Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, to make cinema more accessible.

Vishwanath stated, "It's unreasonable for ticket prices to remain high. A flexible pricing model, where minimum and maximum rates are declared, would allow prices to be adjusted based on the film's quality. This approach would particularly benefit smaller films and encourage more viewers to visit theaters, ultimately benefiting all levels of cinema."

Pawan Kalyan responded positively and assured that he would bring these suggestions to the attention of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
