Rashmika Mandanna turned a year older today. The newly-married actress got a warm gesture from Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind Ranabaali. Since it features her husband as the hero, the gesture is all the more special for the actress.
A video clip put out by director Rahul Sankrityan shows Rashmika's transformation into Jayamma, the love interest of the gutsy male lead, played by Vijay Deverakonda. The footage suggests that her character's vitality will be emotional in nature. She might be the ideological anchor of the pan-Indian narrative in a way. "Jayamma serves as both the strength behind Ranabali and his primary source of joy," the director added.
Vijay shared the clip on X, writing, "I love you, Jayamma." The meta nature of the post can't be missed.
Just the other day, the movie's Anantapur schedule was wrapped up. Co-starring Arnold Vosloo in a pivotal role, the film's first song, Endhayya Saami, was released days after the duo got married. Action Choreographers Yannick Ben, Andy Long Nguyen, and Rabin Subbu are working on the period action drama.
With music by the Ajay-Atul duo, Ranabaali is scheduled to hit the cinemas on September 11.
