In the context of the rumors surrounding Thalapathy Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha, filing for divorce, speculations are rife that the "actress" mentioned in the court petition is Trisha Krishnan.
In a 2016 interview, Trisha spoke openly about her desire to find the right companion. "I don't believe in divorce. I know tonnes of married couples around me who are in it for all the wrong reasons. They are extremely unhappy. They are there for children, for family. I don't want to be in such a marriage. I want to fall in love. I can't live alone. Marriage is secondary, but I want to meet someone with whom I can stay," Trisha told a portal.
To her, a "failed" marriage is a situation where both parties get hurt, and she wants to avoid that entirely. She mentioned that it is "better to split before marriage than go to court for a divorce" later. She made the utterance after calling off an engagement to businessman Varun Manian in 2015 when she felt the relationship wasn't right.
