The makers of Crazy Kalyanam have revealed a poster featuring Tharun Bhascker. Stepping into the role of Balraj, the actor-filmmaker is seen channeling his inner superhero, striking an iconic, gravity-defying pose that pays a clear and playful homage to Superman.
Last month, on the day Anupama Parameswaran turned a year older, a bridal look of her character was put out. Keerthi is her name in the movie.
Also featuring VK Naresh and Akhil Uddemari in pivotal roles, the film is yet to lock its release date.
Coming from the Arrow Cinemas banner, Crazy Kalyanam is produced by Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy. The "wholesome family entertainer" is directed by Badrappa Gajula. The music is composed by Suresh Bobbili, and the screenplay is written by Srinivasa Ravindra (MSR).
Tharun Bhascker these days is also directing ENE Repeat, the sequel to Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. He has held the belief that cinema always influences individuals (both negatively and positively). "I once came across a cabbie who told me he never lets his wife do a job fearing that she might enter into an extra-marital relationship with a male colleague. He told me he picked up this suspicion from a movie he had watched. As a filmmaker, I don't like glorifying vices. In ENE, the alcoholic protagonist has a coming-of-age arc," he commented in an interview in 2023.
