The distribution network for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan, has been officially locked across all major territories. In the domestic market, Mythri Movie Makers will handle the distribution for both the Nizam and East regions. Gayathri Devi Films has secured the rights for Uttarandhra, while LVR and Usha Pictures will manage the West and Krishna regions, respectively. The remaining Andhra territories see Metro Suresh overseeing Guntur, Bhaskar Reddy taking Nellore, and Abhishek Reddy handling the Ceded belt.

For markets outside the Telugu states, Hombale Films has acquired the rights for Karnataka. International distribution will be managed by Prathyangira Cinemas for all Overseas markets.

The film was first announced in 2020. Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh later became Ustaad Bhagat Singh. It was not just a cosmetic change, though. Harish Shankar and his writing department revised the story and upgraded the commerciality of the script. "Based on what many were commenting on social media platforms at that time, I changed the backdrop, because the earlier backdrop (of a college) was unsuitable for commercial elements. People wanted to see Pawan Kalyan in a mass role," Harish Shankar has revealed.
