Rajendra Prasad’s dig at MGR: Why does he chase headlines?

Actor Rajendra Prasad, known as the Nata Kireeti, has used unparliamentary language while praising the yesteryear hero, Kantha Rao. Speaking at an event the other day, he remarked that Kantha Rao's folk movies used to be so important that even a legendary actor like MG Ramachandran "pissed in his pants" knowing their impact.

While Rajendra Prasad's intent was to laud Kantha Rao and highlight his cross-lingual relevance, he shouldn't have put down MGR, a legend in his own right. Where was the need to say that MGR "shivered" and became insecure looking at Kantha Rao's rise? Veterans like Rajendra Prasad don't dare to compare two contemporary Telugu stars, even in professional language. That's because they don't want to offend contemporary stars and risk losing opportunities. One wonders what all they say in private while gossiping about their colleagues!

Recently, he used a cuss word on stage while talking about Ali. Rajendra Prasad reigned supreme as a comedy actor once upon a time. Today, he chases headlines through inappropriate language.
