Actress Lavanya Tripathi recently revealed that she was made a victim of negative propaganda a few years ago for backing out of a Tamil movie project. She stated that, as someone with no privileged background, she had none to fall back on.
"Years ago, pre-Covid, I was supposed to do a Tamil film. Since I didn't feel comfortable working with the director, since it didn't feel right, I backed out of the project. They complained to an industry body and also got negative articles put out in the media. At that time, I had none to approach for support. I just cried out that night," Lavanya revealed. "I didn't understand why I was being troubled for a no," she added.
In other news, the actress recently filed a complaint at the Cyber Crime Police Station in Hyderabad. She alleged ongoing online harassment and abuse via social media, where certain individuals had been posting indecent, obscene, and defamatory content targeting her and her family members.
On the work front, she awaits the theatrical release of Sathi Leelavathi.
