SRP Productions, a newly-floated banner, is making a debut with a film titled 'Madam Chief Minister'. Dr. Surya Revathi Mettakuru, besides directing and producing the film, is also playing the leading role. She has been to the US, where she completed an executive course in Management studies. Besides being a humanitarian, she is an entrepreneur of an IT company in the US and holds a doctorate in Public Administration. By making this film, she wants to pay back to her motherland, India.

Today's launch event was graced by Telangana Minister Patnam Mahendra Reddy. It was iterated that the well-meaning, socially conscious film will be released in five languages.

Speaking on the occasion, director-actor Revathi spoke of her philanthropic interventions, revealing that her NGO has adopted five villages thus far. Besides, a government school has been adopted and transformed into a corporate school-like institution. "I have given away 20 percent of my wealth. I am doing this work for social change. I received an award from the President of India in recognition of my services over the last seven years. My film will talk about the prevailing socio-economic situation in the country," she said.

The makers have described 'Madam Chief Minister' as a people's movie rather than a political drama.

With music by Karthik B Kondakandla, the film's cinematography has been done by Vallepu Ravikumar. Edited by Suresha Durgam, its lyrics are written by Poornachari.
